Prior to moving to Japan, I lived in New York City for over twenty years. I worked on Wall Street for over fifteen years for several global financial services companies. I try to leverage my business experience and maturity to provide meaningful English language instruction to clients. I have enthusiastically instructed doctors, lawyers, politicians, athletes, educators, high-school, and elementary school-aged students. In each case, I was able to relate to their needs and tailor my style to serve their individual goals. Besides grammar, I also help clients with pronunciation, intonation, and speaking rhythm issues. These are key to speaking more natively and building speaking confidence.

My wife and I have two adorable cats, Whisky and MoMo. I enjoy many interests and hobbies that range from photography, billiards, mountaineering, motorcycles, golf, American politics, DJ'ing, drawing faces, learning piano, video games... even sewing. Ask me about my Janome sewing machine! I relate to people easily because of my openness to experiences.
